Metro Mudcats 18U & Intermediate (2026)
FOLLOWING INFO is intended for last season's Cubs 15U 2010 players moving to 18U this season, helpful also for 2011s moving to 18U in 2027.
METRO MUDCATS offers levels of baseball for various age groups, for the 2026 season this includes players born in 2010 and earlier. Metro Mudcats is operated by Metro Baseball Association.
18U: AAA Major, AAA Minor, AA, A
Competes in provincial league play; players born 2008-2010
Intermediate
Competes in regional league play; players born 2007 and earlier
Recreational 21U
Competes in regional league play; players born 2005-20010
Players from Baseball NB Zone 5 are invited to tryout sessions for Metro Mudcats AAA teams.
- Players from Dieppe, Moncton, and Riverview will register with Metro Mudcats for the 2026 season.
- Players from other Zone 5 associations will register with their home association and indicate interest in Mudcats AAA tryout in 2026. If selected to a Mudcats AAA team, registration will be transferred.
- Players from Dieppe, Moncton, and Riverview not selected to AAA Major or AAA Minor will move to Mudcats AA tryouts; players from other associations not selected for Mudcats AAA teams will return to their home association provided their home association offers AA and/or A level teams.
- AAA tryouts will begin late-April with indoor evaluation sessions at The SportsDome followed by outdoor sessions in early May (as soon as field conditions permit).
- Based on number of AA-A level players and coaches, there will be two teams at the AA-A levels.
- 18U AAA-AA-A team rosters capped at fourteen (14) players with guidelines on use of affiliate players.
- Tryout information will be communicated by email and Facebook posts.
